About XBOX 360 Emulators

The XBOX 360 is the earliest and one of the most powerful gaming consoles of the seventh generation consoles. Being a successor to the original and highly successful XBOX system, the XBOX 360 manages to bring outstanding visuals to please gamers and their gaming library comprises of many top selling games that will greatly appeal to hardcore and casual gamers alike. In fact, the XBOX 360 has gained attention from many of the emulator developers that have made XBOX emulators and other emulators of other consoles.

The goal of the emulator developers is to make it possible for anyone to be able to play their Xbox 360 games on their computers as well. Up until now developers have only concentrated on making emulators for Windows systems, which is due to not only to porting problems, but others also.

The manufacturers of gaming consoles make emulations a difficult process. Makers of the Xbox 360 emulator need to be able to code a program that will cause a computer to see it as the actual Xbox 360 system. Because the Xbox 360 company is closely tied with computers, one would expect the emulator to pose no problems. However, because it is rather tricky to understand how the games relate to the system, emulators have run into problem areas.[youtube:OgScgOHe9jI;[link:XBOX 360 Mod Chip?];http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgScgOHe9jI&feature=related]

When developing an emulator the makers of them need to make them in such a way that whatever game is being played is performing at the same level of performance. Developing an emulator that is as close to the original as possible is not a simple process, not even when the emulator is for the older eight bit and sixteen bit gaming consoles.

Making an emulator is not illegal, however there is no profit to be made at all. Developers must be satisfied purely from their eagerness to make them, unless they receive some kind of donations from the people around them. Unfortunately, there are not that many emulators available because of the difficulties involved, which is why the developers give up due to the lack of time and means that are necessary. Most of the emulators of more modern consoles, including the first Xbox are a long way from being perfect.

Currently, there are no known XBOX 360 emulators at the moment, but things may change if people have the time and resources to step up to the challenge. XBOX 360 emulator is definitely possible though, but since the XBOX 360 hardware composes of advanced hardware, the system running the emulator (if any exists) must have really high system specs for the emulator to run flawlessly.

XBOX 360 emulation is also considered impractical by many because many of the good games in XBOX 360 have PC versions. It could still be handy in a way since you can use XBOX 360 controllers on a PC, but with all the challenges in emulation, most programmers think it’s not worth the developing time.

Whether the developers will come up with an Xbox 360 emulator remains to be seen, so it is advisable that people who want to have the pleasure of Xbox 360 gaming, should first find a version for the computer. It is a fact that your hardware would not be able to handle the emulator if it cannot handle the game. To save yourself the trouble and frustration it is advisable that you purchase the original console. In this way you will have the peace of mind that you can enjoy all the games and all the fun features that come with the Xbox 360.

Street Fighter

With all the different fighting games that have been released over the years, and on countless systems, it is hard to pick the best of the best. One of the series that has stood out above the rest is Tekken. The Tekken series has gotten better and better each installment. There has just been an arcade release of the seventh installment in Japan and will be coming stateside very soon as well as to our home consoles. In the mean time, we will have to get our fighting fix with the new Street Fighter game.

Street Fighter 4, released on both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, has been getting rave reviews from numerous gaming publications. Even more important than the publications is the fans approval of the game, since the fans of the original games love this installment it can be considered a success.

Fans have started falling in love with the characters all over again. All of the original are back with a few new news in their mist. Along with the characters, all their signature moves have followed as well. The series really hit its stride with the second installment of Street Fighter, which was released into arcades in the early nineties. Due to the popularity of the game many sequels were made, as well as live action movies. Although the movies were not a huge success, the gaming fans enjoyed watching their favorite characters and moves come to life.

With the latest installment, although the graphics have been updated, they kept it looking close to the original. The characters look new again, but maintain their classic appeal. The fighting feels new, but yet familiar and anyone who has played the other games will be able to jump right into the action.

Another great feature, besides playing with a friend next to you on the couch, you can hook up to the Internet and play against challengers from all around the world. It is a great way to test your skills and it is easy to find a competitor that will challenge you, but is on your same level as far as skills. I hate losing a hundred times in a row, but it is also no fun to win a hundred times in a row.

The XBOX 360

There was once a heavy battle staged by 3 thriving consoles and Microsoft’s XBOX was among them aiming to capture the gaming market and attract gamers to their powerful system. With the competition becoming even fiercer, Microsoft decided to develop the XBOX’s successor the XBOX 360 and released it to the world late 2005.

The Xbox 360 is far superior to the original Xbox which itself contained a powerful gaming engine. The developers of games are now able to create games that are very realistic and have the appeal to succeed in the market. This all allows the Xbox 360 to provide their customers with gaming entertainment that older consoles could not. Of course, the Xbox 360 did not remain unchallenged because Microsoft’s two other competitors, Nintendo and Sony, also released their own consoles to compete with the Xbox 360. Still, the system continues to generate sales while at the same time providing an excellent array of games.

When Microsoft developed and released their entry version called the Core, it went on sale for four hundred dollars. It was followed by the next version, Arcade, which encountered a few problems here and there. Following that version came the Pro which came equipped with a hard drive as well. But Microsoft has not been idle and has continually striven to improve their consoles by not only increasing capacity but also by upgrading the hardware, which has resulted in the elimination of both heating and noise problems.

Finished in matte black and coming with a headset to match is the latest and most costly of the Xbox 360 range and it is called the Elite. With a host of features that include a 120 GB hard drive as well as its own HDMI 1.2 cable that enables games to be played in full 1080p, the Xbox 360 continues to be a fierce competitor. For people who own the older consoles that did not come with their own cables the only option is to purchase one, although they are rather pricey.

Older consoles can also play the games available for the Xbox 360, so you will not be left out. A composite cable accompanies every configuration allowing standard play as well as a month long Gold trial, Silver Xbox Live membership so that you can also experience online gaming which is growing in popularity.[youtube:OgScgOHe9jI;[link:XBOX 360 Mod Chip?];http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgScgOHe9jI&feature=related]

On the hardware side, the XBOX 360 houses a Tri-Core CPU called Xenon which was developed by IBM and is clocked at 3.2 GHz. Microsoft also takes a turn and uses an ATI chip called Xenos instead of one by NVIDIA which was used for the original XBOX. The GPU has a speed of 500 MHz and comes with a heat sink to keep it cool. It has 512 MB GDDR3 RAM with 700 MHz speed and has a transmission rate of 1.4 GHz on its 128-bus. All of these features combined back up the sheer power that the system gives to the games.

Because of the way the Xbox 360’s games are formatted they can fit on a single disc. But it is not only games that can play on the Xbox 360. Both dad’s and Cd’s can also be played, making the Xbox 360 rather versatile.

Since the console is developed by Microsoft, many of the PC games have XBOX 360 ports and vice-versa. This console is recommended for hardcore and casual gamers as well and continues to expand their games archive.

What Does A Mod Chip Do In An XBOX 360?

If you are thinking to purchase an XBOX 360, go for it because their gaming library doesn’t disappoint and there are plenty of games to get your hands on for weeks of entertainment. Getting original games for your new XBOX 360 isn’t a problem, but if you wish to back-up your games, play hacked games, or try out a couple of homebrews, you won’t be going anywhere due to the security features of the XBOX 360 unless you grab yourself a mod chip.

Mod chips are not new. They were used a lot in previous generation consoles so they are not unfamiliar to a lot of people. The Xbox 360 mod chip is basically the same, as far as features go, as the mods from before. Having the mod chip for the Xbox 360 means that you will be able to bypass all the security features installed by the manufacturer.

If you are wondering what that all means the answer is simple. The mod chip will enable you to play the games that you obtained from another source as well as enable you to play games you have backed up. It even allows games that are customized but that did not receive a license from Microsoft to be played. Just one mod chip can do wonders for your gaming library.

Unfortunately the manufacturer also installed a feature that makes it impossible to use your Xbox 360 in a different country. And not only that, buying games from another country would be a waste of money, because they will not play on your Xbox either. However, mod chips enable you to use your Xbox 360 absolutely anywhere, as well as play the games.[youtube:OgScgOHe9jI;[link:XBOX 360 Mod Chip?];http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgScgOHe9jI&feature=related]

Of course not everyone wants a mod chip, preferring to go out and buy a new game when they feel the urge to do so. The reasons why Microsoft installed the security features they did are, among other things, to prevent the spread of piracy and to protect the fragile components inside the unit from damage.

Therefore, you should get a mod chip if you really need the extra features that it unlocks. Microsoft placed those limitations for your own safety and to comply with legal standards and the standards vary from country to country so go around local forums and see if it is okay to mod your XBOX 360.

Despite that, all should be safe if you get the top rated XBOX 360 mod chips and correctly follow the instructions in modding your system. Modding is pretty much a one-time process and once you modded your system properly, you are all set to go and play all the games that you like.

Mod chips are increasing in popularity as many gamers continue showing signs of frustration with the limitations Microsoft set. Some people who prefer downloading their XBOX games online and burning them to disc find mod chips to be equally useful since it allows those kinds of games to be played. This is also, why so many mod makers are trying to profit off it. With so many mod chips readily available, search around for good review sites so you can get the best mod chips that really work.
