Since the Hobbit movies by Peter Jackson won’t be out for a while, it’s a good time to watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy again. The theater is where most people saw it for the first time, then we all had to get the DVD’s, and then of course we had to then have the extended directors edition.

The marketing professionals are good at what they do as they’ve been successful in getting the public to purchase this trilogy three times. Peter Jackson is a huge fan of the series and showed that in his detailed and loving adaptations that he brought to the screen. I am sure that the level of detail and expertise will be given to the Hobbit movies, but until then, keep watching the extended directors version that you have and wait for the Blu-ray version next year.
