Is it time for the Yankees to promote Kerry Wood to the closer role?

Wood has been dominant as a Yankees reliever. With Mariano Rivera suspended for the rest of the season, should we give the job to Wood? Or should we give it to Chamberlain, since he’ll probably get the job next year anyway, if the Yankees don’t re-sign Rivera?

This is what happens when you smoke really good weed with the Red Sox losing a double header on the tv. Put down the bong.

I’m not a Yankees fan and I’m far from it but I’d say give the job to Wood,I think he could handle to pressure more then Chamberlain if he was to get in a sticky situation.

A link to any story about this supposed suspension of Rivera, perhaps? I checked the NY Post site and a few sports sites and no mention of this. Until then I’m going to have to call bulls*** on the suspension.

As long as the Yankees have Rivera, he is (and should be) their closer.
