How can the yankees enforce the facial hair ban on players acquired in a trade?
If a player signs with the yankees as a free agent, they can do it, because he knew the rules when he signed. But what about a player that gets traded to the yankees? How can they enforce the rule on him?

Wow……good question.
I wouldn’t know the answer, but I assume most players would just follow on the rule already set. Like I said, good question. That would be something good to ask a Yankees writer or something.
That’s a GREAT question. On the Dodgers, Joe Torre, former Yankees manager, wanted Manny Ramirez to cut his hair, but wouldn’t do it. Can you imagine Manny Ramirez with short hair?
Let’s say a player is offered a contract with a team. The contract he signed does not stipulate that he cannot be traded without his consent. One fine day in June the player is traded to the Yankees for a minor leaguer and a dozen jock straps. The player is now a member of the Yankees until the original contract he signed expires or the Yankees decide to release him on waivers.
Anywho, since he now belongs to the Yankees he needs to follow the rules of the Yankees. If he does not want to follow the rules, the Yankees can bench him, possibly send him to the minors or even release him on waivers. Generally, players understand they need to follow rules. Most players I think would gladly shave their pubic hairs to be on the Yankees. (Well, I am a biased Yankees fan.)
