No one, Click on the link. Then double click the W-L%. It shows the closest ML Manager Won-Loss percentage is that of John Russell at .384 or Preston Gomez at .395 no one with a .389 win-loss percentage.

Jim Davenport would seem to fit that bill. He managed the San Francisco Giants for exactly one year. He was born in Alabama which seems to fit, he attended Southern Mississippi, and his record of 56-88 figures out to .389. That was enough for the Giants not to renew his contract. Je was a good baseball player, spending 13 years with the Giants. I watched him from time to time as a baseball fan in the 60's. No clue what he's doing now.

Absolutely. Andy Tracy, who is 35, is first-baseman for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the Philadelphia Phillies' AAA affiliate in the International League. And at that age he was good enough at his job this year that he's with the Phillies right now during their pennant drive!

Actually, some of the lower level leagues do have age restrictions. For example, the low rookie level has restrictions on the number of players allowed over the age of 21. I think it's only something like 1 or 2. This is why you hear stories of players lying about their age....it allows them to hang around and play longer.

No. There are no age restrictions, however, I'm assuming your talking about an "independent league" team, and not a minor league team affiliated with a major league club. An independent team will take anybody, you can be a 50 year old pitcher, and if you can throw 90mph, and you want to live your life on the measly wages and spend 32 hours at a time on a bus for road games, sure, they'll take you. Live your dream. A real minor league club, that is an affiliate of a major league club, don't have open tryouts. They are paid players of the minor league lever.

No there aren't. Clubs have had open tryouts for their minor league farm teams. A pitcher named Jim Morris went to a Tampa Bay Devil Rays tryout at age 35 and eventually worked his way up to the majors by the end of the season. Of course that kind of shot is a 1 in a million thing, but you never know.

3. It's time for the Yankees to remind the Orioles what division they're in.

Game 1: Chris Tillman vs. AJ Burnett
The Yankees win, but not because of Burnett's pitching.

Game 2: TBA vs. Phil Hughes
The Orioles win. Yeah I'm ranking a guy that is "TBA" to be better than Hughes.

Game 3: Jake Arrieta vs. Ivan Nova
The Yankees will demolish Arrieta. Nova will also put up a respectable battle.

Overall, the Yankees take 2 out of the 3. That's just my guess.
